Taylor Swift: reputation
I return to reputation because it feels like more than an album cycle. Sound, image, typography, public persona, tension, and narrative recognise one another.
What interests me is not whether every part looks the same. It is how every part appears aware of the same context.
It is one of the examples I think about when I ask what makes an identity feel coherent without becoming repetitive.

Thoughts that did not need an essay.
- Sometimes “make it clearer” actually means “decide what matters.”
- I trust an idea more when it survives being explained simply.
- Good restraint still requires a decision. Empty space is not automatically sophistication.
- If every piece needs a new explanation, there probably isn't a system yet.
- A character behaving unexpectedly is interesting. A character behaving without reason is not the same thing.
- The fastest way to make AI generic is to give it generic context.
- Not everything needs more personality. Sometimes it needs more clarity.
- Supporting copy should know that it is supporting. Information can be necessary without needing to become visually important. Not every sentence needs a container. Not every detail deserves a box. Sometimes hierarchy improves when something is allowed to become quieter.
