I did not want another portfolio that asked people to infer the thinking from a wall of finished images. I wanted to show the work and the decisions behind it, the questions I keep asking, the things I write when nobody has given me a brief, and the things I keep returning to, whether or not they become work.

What began as selected projects, About, and contact information grew into separate places for Work, Approach, Notes, and self-initiated projects.

Instead of saying I think strategically, the case studies can show constraints, decisions, and why I made them. Instead of claiming curiosity, Notes can hold fiction, film, music, and observations. If I think in systems, the structure of the site should make that visible.

The design constraint is that professional work, essays, stories, and experiments should change character without looking as though they came from unrelated people.

I am working through information architecture, editorial pacing, responsive design, and the point where a personal site starts behaving more like a filing cabinet than a portrait. The goal is not to redesign it whenever I develop a new opinion. It is to keep the structure steady enough for the record to become more complete.
